What Types of Exams Are Offered?

Where Do I Take My Exam?
  • Conferences — handled by DDW or DWQ
  • In-Office — online exams at the Bluffdale Testing Center
  • Remote Proctor — available for Public Water Systems 50+ miles from the RWAU office
Conference Exam Links
Conference exams are handled by the Division of Drinking Water (DDW) or Division of Water Quality (DWQ). The application and cancellation process for these paper exams is handled directly through their exam pages.

The Process | Apply for an In-Office or Remote Proctored Exam
In-Office
  • For any applicant
You can schedule a date and time after completing the required forms and payment.
Remote Proctor
  • For Public Water Systems located 50 or more miles from the RWAU office
  • If you are not a public water system and are within 50 miles, you must test at the Rural Water Testing Center.
After submitting forms and payment, your request will be reviewed and a proctor assigned. Expect a minimum lead time of 2–4 weeks.

Please note: You must have taken the Cross Connection Certification class (CCCPAC) before taking the Cross Connection Program Administrator exam. This is a separate registration. If you have not yet taken the class, please register through the Events page.

Step 3 - Schedule Your Exam
In-Office: A link to schedule your exam will appear at the end of the payment form and in your confirmation email.
Remote Proctor: Remote proctored exams are scheduled by the assigned proctor. You will be contacted after your application has been processed.
