The Pre-Apprenticeship Program is an exciting, semester-long opportunity designed specifically for high school students interested in exploring rewarding careers in the water industry. Through this program, students gain hands-on experience by job shadowing local water system operators, attending exclusive trainings led by industry professionals, and completing a dynamic, self-paced online course created by the Rural Water Association of Utah (RWAU).

Graduates of the Pre-Apprenticeship Program not only earn school credit but also receive priority consideration for the highly coveted RWAU Apprenticeship Program after graduation and once they turn 18. This means you’ll have a head start in joining a thriving, in-demand industry with endless career possibilities.

We’re partnering with school districts and water systems across Utah to make this life-changing program accessible statewide. Don’t miss out on the chance to develop real-world skills and build your future!
