NRWA Endorses Jessica Kramer to Lead EPA’s Office of Water
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Rural Water Association (NRWA), a non-profit organization representing over 31,000 small and rural water and wastewater utilities in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, announced its strong support today for the nomination of Jessica Kramer as EPA Assistant Administrator for Water.
“Jessica Kramer is exactly the kind of leader the Office of Water needs right now- principled, pragmatic, and deeply informed,” said NRWA Chief Executive Officer Matthew Holmes. “As she noted in her nomination hearing this morning, she’s worked alongside water operators to craft feasible, affordable regulations that follow the law, while identifying flexibilities to address the operational challenges small water utilities face every day.”
Ms. Kramer has a strong track record in both state and federal water policy. She played a key role in negotiating the historic water infrastructure funding included in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and has led national efforts to protect water systems from unfair PFAS liability. She brings clarity, credibility, and a results-oriented approach to the water sector’s most complex challenges. Her leadership reflects what can be achieved when environmental and human health protection is balanced with common-sense regulatory solutions. Her expertise inspires confidence across the sector, and we urge the U.S. Senate to swiftly confirm her.1
