Water Distribution/Sewer Collection Operator I

Essential function is to provide clean, safe drinking water to District customers and ensure wastewater collection system, Irrigation and snow making system is operating properly at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
•    Maintain water and sewer main lines and laterals.
•    Maintain District water booster stations, sewer lift stations, wells and all equipment associated.
•    Assist in troubleshoot equipment such as pumps, motors, grinders, etc.
•    Assist in repair broken water and sewer mains as required.
•    Assist in Maintaining distribution system PRVs to ensure proper operation.
•    Exercise valves and maintain fire hydrants.
•    Flush distribution system to ensure chlorine residual and aesthetics.
•    Assist in cleaning sewer collection system with Vacuum Truck and other required equipment.
•    Install, maintain and perform monthly reads of culinary and secondary irrigation meters. 
•    Maintain proper tank levels throughout system.
•    Participate in weekly on-call rotation (must be able to respond within 30-45 minutes).
•    Operate and monitor SCADA system.
•    Respond to emergencies in a timely manner. 
•    Maintain certifications as required.
•    Practice safe working procedures at all times.
•    Maintains district tools and equipment
•    Organize tools in vehicle shop
•    Interactions with Customers and Vendors.
•    Other duties as assigned.
