Utah PFAS Drinking Water Standards: What You Need to Know

News,

Utah’s Division of Drinking Water is leading efforts to support public water systems in meeting the EPA’s first-ever national PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) standards—now in effect for six chemicals, including PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS, HFPO‑DA, PFNA, and PFBS. Systems have until April 26, 2027 to complete initial monitoring, and must comply by April 26, 2029(deq.utah.gov).

What is offered?
  • FREE PFAS sampling assistance for most community and non-transient non-community systems
